Battle Types

Capture The Flag (CTF)

CTF (short for Capture the Flag) is the most popular game mode in Tanki Online. In opposed to DM, in CTF mode you'll get points for useful  behavior:

First of all you get points for killing enemy tanks. You'll get 10 points for killing an enemy tank of equal rating. The more difference between ratings you and your enemy have, the more (or less) points you get (from 1 to 20 points). Of course it's always more profitable to kill tanks with better rating. Generally the higher rank your enemy has, the more points you get. Though it's not always true.

Second, you get points for delivering enemy flag. The amount of point you get depends on your enemy team - the stronger it is (the more rating each of them have), the more points you get. It is said that for scoring enemy flag in Tanki Online CTF the player gets as much points as for killing the whole enemy team, but that seams not to be true. All team members who took part in carrying enemy flag to your base will score some points. Though the lion's share goes to the tanker who scored a flag.

Third, you get points for killing enemy caper (the tanker who's carrying the flag). This way you'll get a 100% bonus (i.e. you'll get double points).

And the last but not least, you'll get some points for returning your flag back to base. The farther your flag was from your base at the moment you touch it to return, the more points you'll get.

Team Death Match (TDM)

Team Deathmatch (TDM) is an extended version of Deathmatch (DM) multiplayer PvP mode. In TDM tankers play team vs. team, so the idea of TDM mode is in killing more enemies, than the other team does. The process of scoring points is similar to CTF, though of course there’re no flags in TDM.

To win in TDM you've to kill more than die. Every single member of your team. So if you can't stand a pace of battle - leave it!

Such tank guns like Thunder or Ricochet have self-damage ability, so if you're playing with such a gun try destroying a tank with your final shot, leaving your enemy without a frag. This will give an enormous advantage for you and your team in TDM mode. That's why tankers with those tank guns are always welcome in TDM, unlike e.g. Isida players.

When playing in TDM mode don't split up and try staying in group, covering each other and attacking single enemy tanks or smaller groups of tanks together. Using numerical superiority is the idea of all team multiplayer games including Tanki Online TDM.

Death Match (DM)

Deathmatch (DM) is the simplest Tanki Online game mode in terms of rules and basic tactics. In Deathmatch (DM) everyone plays for himself killing each other, trying to get maximum frags (kills). The more frags a tanker has at the end of the game, the more crystals he earns. That simple. Because Deathmatch has nothing to do with teamplay (unlike in TDM and CTF modes), the final score and the prize crystals depend only on your own playing skill and tactics.

Playing Deathmatches (DM) in Tanki Online is the safest way to earn crystals.

The best way to get frags in Deathmatch (DM) is finishing wounded enemy tanks. So don't waste your time on respawning tanks unless you're playing with Shaft of course! Some tankers use to form alliances in Deathmatches, but most of them are a waste of frags: they just narrow down the circle of targets and hence frags. Though alliances sometimes still make sense: if there's an ememy who's not claiming for victory in DM game and he's a thorn in your flesh, try to ally with him. That way you may get more frags. And yes, unlike TDM or CTF modes, forming alliances in Deathmatches is legal in Tanki Online.

So how to earn more prize crystals in Deathmatches? For best results try creating your own battles! Narrow down range of ranks from your rank and down (so that you're the top ranked player in the game). Make a long battle - the longer is the battle, the more crystals you'll earn by the end of it (there's no much sense in playing for less than half an hour). Long battles are also perfect for creating huge gaps between position 1 (which should be yours, of course) and 2. Just because other tankers need time to find your game in a list and enter. The more the gap is, the more crystals you get by the end of the game.

Though I have to warn you about the major drawback of such smart approach. In case of any problems with your Internet provider of just the connection between your provider and Tanki Online server, you'll get disconnected and loose everything. There're no refunds for such things in Tanki Online.

Control Points (CP)

Today you can experience changes in the battle. The thing is that everyone is already playing in a brand new team game mode - "Control Points", which is now available, along with the 1.100.0 release. I will just say about this mode - "as words can not express the experience", right?

Let's start with the fact that "control points" is not yet available on all maps, as it was for the other modes. At the moment you can find the button to the battle in the following maps:
- Sandbox - 1 points
- Wave - 1 points
- Monte-Carlo - 3 points
- Barda - 3 points
- Iran - 4 points
- Bridges - 5 points
- Kungur - 5 points
- Brest - 7 points

When you create a map with the "control points" as the selected mode you can control two parameters: the duration of the round and the "Team score" needed to defeat the opposing team. If all concerning the time is clear, we will discuss the "team score" in detail. The essence of the team battle is the need to keep under control as much key points as possible on a given map. For each captured point your team will receive one point every ten seconds. Thus, the winning team is that which manages to score the most number of points in the allocated time, if in the settings of the battle time was a factor. Lets hope you enjoy it.

Some Help In CP:

~when you captured a point, Be fast and quickly move to another point
~look at the points that are yours, see when you need to go defend a point or kill the enemies at your points.
~talk with your team, this mode is all about team work.
~protect your points, they are the key to your victory.
~do not stay at one position, that wont help your team.

No-Supplies Battle:

It is that type of battle where you have no drugs, but the supplies dropped are available!

In this battle you can rely on your skills not using of drugs. Using of high armoured tank like mammoth and gun like thunder are suitable for this battle. No-Supplies Battle is available in every map! It is also called No-drugs Battles. You will receive a No-Supplies Battle Pass In The Gifts That allows you to take part for free in No-Supplies Battles.
